Locronan’s important architectural heritage, preserved from a very early date, has enabled the village to become a member of the network of Petites Cités de Caractère. Locronan has also been awarded the label of the most beautiful villages of France, by an independent association which aims to promote the tourist assets of small French villages with a rich heritage. Around the church, the village roofs are works of art.
